2.1 Limited Licence.


You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to view, download (for personal, non-commercial purposes), and share Site content provided you credit MAR and do not alter the materials.

2.2 Prohibited Uses.


You may not:

  • Use this Site for any unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or harassing purpose.

  • Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content without written consent.

  • Upload or transmit viruses, spam, or other harmful material.

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with MAR.

  • Use this Site to promote commercial products, solicitations, or fundraising campaigns not authorized by MAR.

2.3 Termination.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site without notice if you violate these Terms or for any reason at our discretion.

All text, images, graphics, logos, videos, and other materials on this Site (“Content”) are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Except where otherwise noted (e.g. content explicitly credited to artists), all materials are owned by MAR or used under license. You may not reproduce or distribute materials for commercial use without written permission.

4. User Submissions (Artists, Contributors, and Commenters)

4.1 Your Submissions.


By submitting artwork, text, photographs, or other materials (“Submissions”) to MAR through this Site or email, you confirm that:

  • You own or have permission to use and share the material.

  • Your submission does not infringe on copyright, privacy, or intellectual property rights of others.

  • You grant MAR a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, publish, and promote your submission on our website, exhibitions, and marketing materials, in accordance with our mission.

4.2 Artist Acknowledgement.


Artists will always be credited for their work. MAR will not sell or commercially exploit any submission without prior agreement with the artist.

4.3 Right to Remove.


We reserve the right to decline, edit, or remove any submission that breaches these Terms or is inconsistent with MAR’s mission.

5. Donations and Payments

5.1 Donations.
All donations made to MAR are voluntary and non-refundable unless a processing error occurs. MAR is a nonprofit initiative and may not issue tax-deductible receipts unless registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charity.

5.2 Secure Processing.
Payments are processed through trusted third-party providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal). MAR does not store your payment card information.

5.3 Transparency.
Funds are used to support exhibitions, artist collaborations, and educational programs.

6. Community Guidelines

MAR aims to provide a respectful, inclusive space. By participating in comments, social media interactions, or submissions, you agree to:

  • Use respectful and non-discriminatory language.

  • Avoid sharing harmful, triggering, or graphic content unrelated to recovery or art.

  • Respect the lived experiences of others, particularly those in recovery.

MAR reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove comments that breach these guidelines or our values.

This Site may contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. MAR is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external websites. Accessing them is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers
